The Brief

MooShema was a playful product created by the Belgrade-based marketing agency SuperDot. Reimagining the traditional tablecloth as a contemporary design object, the project invited designers and artists to create original patterns with complete creative freedom. The result was a distinctive collection that quickly became a favorite among lovers of modern home décor.

Project Scope

Naming of the product line. Design of the Zunge Zeigen tablecloth, one of the collection’s best-selling designs.

Kopfgeburten

Inspired by the way thoughts wander from one idea to another—much like a random internet search—this design drifts freely through a variety of topics. Funny in places, dead serious in others, it turns every meal into a small discovery. Chances are you’ll notice something new every time you set down your coffee cup or dinner plate.

Zunge Zeigen

Zunge Zeigen means “to stick out your tongue.”

This lovely-sounding German phrase perfectly captures the spirit of the design. Made for endlessly curious minds, it introduces you to Tuvalu, Rooibos tea, how many teeth dolphins have, and the longest German word.

(By the way, it’s Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz.)

You can also learn to count to ten in different languages, keep a handy Celsius-to-Fahrenheit conversion formula within reach, or memorize the first hundred digits of π. Learn something new. Show off.

Juxtaposition

One thing to be proud of—this MooShema found its way into many homes and lives. Loved by parents for its practicality, it kept children entertained and happily survived their creativity.

I’m thinking that there is an awesome amount of fabulousness going on around here!
